Engagement Model

Project Based - ODC

In this model the client engages with the offshore development team at exsodel, as and when there is a potential project which requires offshore support. The client is responsible for providing all relevant project documents; specifications and deliverables are clearly defined.
The client’s commitment to review and sign off on each stage of the development is unquestionably one of the most important factors for project success.

• Fixed scope and price based on requirements.
• Resource(s) with relevant experience and skill set.
• Phase to Phase development approach
• Capability to work on multiple projects, and follow any development life cycle
• Project plan and status reports
• Additional effort out of the scope of work, will be an additional cost
• Client owns the IP, Source codes and all rights.

The negative side of project based model is that once a project is completed, the resources of the project may get allocated to other projects. Hence you may not get the same resources for another project.

Dedicated Team - ODC

In this model, we will set up a small or large team of specialized resources with the required skill set that are dedicated to work for our clients team/project. These resources are kept busy throughout the month with any work that can be done by the offshore extended team to support the onsite team; this can be very small pieces of work or complete projects.
Team of dedicated employee(s) working as an extension of your organization. These resources will not work on other projects and will directly report to the client or team lead.
• Resource(s) with relevant experience and skill set.
• Capability to work on multiple projects, and follow any development life cycle.
• Daily and weekly effort reporting to the client (Excel, google doc).
• Client owns the IP, source codes and all rights.
• Cost calculation - Hourly cost X$*176(Hours in a month) = Monthly billing per resource

The costs remains the same for resources with different skill sets such as Instructional designers, SME’S, content writers, Graphic designers, Programmers, QC’s, etc.

Offshore Development Center (ODC)

ODC model is a complete offshore set up solution for dedicated resources, infrastructure and multi- departments. This model is similar to the dedicated resource model, but the difference is having a dedicated center where the resources, technology and infrastructure is exclusively selected and dedicated to the client. In this model the client can have a software development, Testing, Maintenance, support, sales and marketing team at one location.

Hybrid Model:

The hybrid outsourcing model which is also known as on-off shore model, takes complete advantage of onsite (Client location) and offshore services (exsodel-Bangalore), to deliver results to clients which are cost effective. The hybrid model is where an offshore or local team is stationed at the client's location (onshore) and works with the offshore team located in Bangalore, India. The onsite team will coordinate with the SME’s and stakeholders, handling project management and key areas (Design and Architecture) and at the same time managing interaction with the offshore development team on development (coding, testing, bug fixes, etc).

The time and material engagement model is most commonly for clients in R&D on innovative IT solutions, where developments are variable or in some cases depends on the complexity of the project.
This model provides the clients with the most flexibility on exploring and developing solutions, with extensive alternatives for revisions or changes till the project goal is achieved.

• Team size can be increased or reduced above the minimum commitment of billing hours.
• Resource(s) with relevant experience and skill set.
• Standard hourly rate irrespective of resources involved. The client will be billed for the total effort hours per month.
• Effort hours can vary, according to the client’s requirements
• Capability to work on multiple projects, and follow any development life cycle.
• Project plan and status reports
• Client owns the IP, Source codes and all rights.
• Hugh amount flexibility and ability to accommodate revisions or changes during any stage of the development life cycle.
